This technology was very tricky get the hang of at first. I had one of my friends, who had worked with it before, help me get started with the process. But once I knew what to do, actually putting everything together was very easy.I really like the idea of taking something that we has already been written and turning it into a voicethread because it brings the story and writings to life for the students. Also, I like how easy it would be for a group to do one because, once they have their writing to read from, they only have to talk toward the computer--each part does not have to be added separately.I could definitely see myself using this in the classroom because it's a great assessment tool, and, with the proper grading setup, could even replace a test. With some help at first, I feel like the students would not have a hard time using the site. I also love putting them on the teacher's page because it gives the parents the ability to see what their student is doing in the classroom. Overall, I after getting the initial kinks worked out, I realized how much fun this is and how useful it can be for students.
